How long does it take to hamster get used to a new home?
It is new in the pet store and is very good to come into our hands. It just seems very much upset. Is it to disappear (if yes how long?) Or are they always like that? Also For households that are safe to treat them - I read somewhere peanuts and fruits (what type?)
It may take a week to month for a hamster to get used to you depending on the attention that is given. We have a couple of Russian dwarves who have never loved stands, even with careful daily for 2 weeks (born at home). They are more than 15 months now. My son can not take them for a minute or two with rapid gloves, and then they bite through gloves. Here is a site for acceptable food for hamsters. I can also be sent by email obtain a more complete list of foods for dwarfs, there are certain foods, they can not have any. Do not give fruit, corn, peas, or carrots.
