Should i feed my cornsnake large mice or small rats?

My cornsnake is now eating large mice ( about 6 at a time when i feed him ). The reptile shop i but them says that small rats are similar size, im wondering if i try and feed him a medium size or large rat, will he split his mouth and jaw at all? i dont know when i should progress to bigger mice. He doesnt ever gtrow in size around the head area, but body is getting longer and slightly fatter every now and again

The small rats probably would not be a bad idea. They have a higher fat content though, but on the flip side they are higher in calcium. Just be careful feeding live (if that is what you use), which I'm sure you are aware of. And don't feed him anything bigger than his widest girth. Too big of a meal will cause him to regurge. Must be a pretty big corn! Hope this helps!
