Difference between Green and Yellow-eared Parrot Senegal Parrot?
I'm looking to do either a-cheeked parakeet and a parrot Senegal. (I'm not the first time bird owner my parents have an African Grey and a Sun Conure I grew up with.) I can not choose between these two birds and we have heard great things about each of them. I would like a bird a fun and social personality who loves to play. Talk capacity is not that important to me and is not the price difference. I want a bird that is not too strong, like a sun, since I live in an apartment (I have only one connection neighbor beside me who is not a home for many). More importantly, I would a bird that may be connected with more than one person since my boyfriend will move in my place six months from now. It will be in contact with the bird on the weekend so far. Also, is there a big difference in size between the two birds? I do as much research as I can before I make any decisions. All recommendation would be great! Thank you!
We have 2 Red-crowned parakeets (actually it is a mixture of a red-belly) and we have a Senegal parrot (And several other birds, including an African Grey - we had a sun conure in the past). Greencheeked parakeets are about 3 / 4 to 1 / 2 the size of Senegal. I prefer greencheeked for their personality. In our case, all the birds of the bite. The GC is more playful and clownish. The worst seems Senegal me. I think the GC relationship with them over time.
