Why is the sky blue, but turns green when there is a tornado?
I was out and about 3 hours, the sky was blue. But three hours later, the sky became a sort of olive green and then it became clear. I just wondered because it is a kind weird.
It is well known that, often, sometimes the sky turns a shade of green before severe weather strikes. The thing is, this does not happen all the time, so there is no rule of thumb for this strange phenomenon. However, if I saw a green sky, that would mean for me as I turn on the TV / radio to know what is happening in my area. Green is significant, but not proof that the tornado is on the road. A green cloud "will only occur if the cloud is very deep, which usually only occurs in thunderclouds, "Bachmeier said." This is the kind of storms may produce hail and tornadoes.
